MDS Mercury Series Durable, Mobile or Fixed Wireless Components...

Multi-megabit, long-range, point to multi-point industrial wireless IP/Ethernet solution with communications at 7 Mbps rate in a fixed application and 1.5 Mbps in a mobile application. Due to the use of Quality of Service (QOS) the actual throughput rate is multiples of the 7 Mbps rate. Mercury can be used for video surveillance, voice over IP (VoIP) and traditional factory applications as well as field force automation in plant and on vehicles.

MDS iNET II Long Range Wireless Device...

The MDS iNET-II is a long-range, megabit-speed, industrial, wireless IP/Ethernet solution, with advanced cyber-security. It allows the connection of Ethernet and/or serial devices to an IP network. This includes mission-critical, revenue-generating data from fixed assets such as oil and gas wells, compressor stations, pipelines, fluid storage tanks and utility meters. It can also be used in vehicles to provide mobile network access. MDS iNET-II uses DTS (Digital Transmission System) technology for license-free operation in the 902-928 MHz ISM band. It is capable of up to 30 mile range (line-of-sight) and up to 1 Mbps over-the-air data rate communications. This product is available for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C & D hazardous locations. MDS iNET-II is available in three configurations:
Access Point/Remote Dual Gateway, both Ethernet and serial interfaces are active.
Remote Ethernet Bridge, only the Ethernet interface is active.
Remote Serial Gateway, only the serial interfaces are active.

MDS NETio Series Modular, Scaleable, Wireless...

MDS NETio is an integrated, scalable family of wireless communication products for analog and discrete I/O signals. NETio allows users to interface I/O signals using standard serial and IP/Ethernet protocols or regenerate I/O signals between PLCs, RTUs and control/monitoring devices. Standard serial or IP/Ethernet payload communications for separate devices is also supported. NETio Family Overview NETio provides a simple cost effective, out-of-the-box communications solution. The NETio Base module integrates on-board I/O with a 900 MHz or a 2.4 GHz radio. Optional NETio Expansion modules attach to the Base module to accommodate a users's specific I/O count. MDS also embeds additional wireless connectivity called WeXP using the 802.15.4 standard. WeXP allows Expansion modules to be located up to 3000 feet from the Base module. Together, the NETio Base and Expansion modules present deployment alternatives that are uniquely scalable to a user's I/O count, distance and location requirements. The NETio Base module is available in three main configurations:
NETio Signal Extender - I/O extension functionality that transmits and regenerates I/O signals between devices.
NETio Protocol Node - Supports direct protocol addressability of connected I/O from a library of protocols such as MODBUS, DF1, MODBUS TCP, DNP.3 or EtherNet/IP.
NETio Complete - Adds concurrent payload communication for an attached RTU, PLC or other peripheral device, along with signal extension and protocol capabilities. Both transparent serial and IP/Ethernet connections are supported. WeXP 802.15.4 connectivity to distributed Expansion modules is also included.

MDS Intrepid Series For Large Bandwidth, Long Range...

GE MDS Intrepid is a 48 Mbps capacity (air interface max speed)/18 Mbps capacity (Ethernetmax speed), cost effective, point-to-point, broadband wireless transmission system. It combines Ethernet and legacy TDM services for transmission over 5.8, 4.9, and 2.4 GHz bands and is suitable for deployment in FCC-regulated countries. Intrepid provides high performance and reliability. The interface ensures low BER, as well as low latency, and full compliance with the jitter and wander requirements for T1 interfaces. A transmission range of up to 80 km (50 miles) is available with an external antenna.
Intrepid consists of an outdoor unit (ODU) and an indoor unit (IDU or IDU-C). The outdoor unit is suitable for mast or wall installation. Mounting brackets are supplied with the unit.
